Installation Support
Runbook software is SAP certified and fully integrated in the SAP invironment. To install Runbook only standard SAP installation procedures are required. Runbook operates within its own name spaces meaning that there is no impact on customer-specific and SAP objects.
The Runbook IC module and the Digital Audit Trail require a configured archive link along with a content repository configuration. For example, available SAP CS or any other third party document management system like IXOS.
Runbook is installed using the SAINT installation procedure, which is identical to other SAP add on components. Runbook support packs are installed using the SPAM procedure.
Support packs are released several times each year and distribution is organized through the Runbook support website http://service.runbook.com. The licensed customer SAP support organization and certified super users have access to the Runbook support site for user documentation, support downloads and additional support.
Runbook is certified for the SAP releases 4.6 and above. The determination of the right customer Runbook installation package is based on:
- Download of table CVERS & AVERS.
- SAP system (ID)(s).
- SAP installation number.
One of the SAP certified elements is performance. The Runbook application has no effect on the performance of the SAP system.
